I admire your strong will to find the answers that some dare not. I too have found this path of self awareness, yet you broke through barriers that I could not imagine. Yet I believe that ones that seek shall find.

Kesrik and Mornik... It is so touchy and dramatic to read the history of the districts that I grew up...

Dear Mary L. MOVSISIAN-LETTS Foess, I came across to your site, while I was searching Harput/Xarpet/Kharpet/Kharpert keywords. My family is from Dersim (a city near Kharpert-Elazig) and I grew up in Elazig. I wanted to send you warm love and regards from Turkey... Ã?zcan, a compatriot from Kharpert.

IN THE NEWS...

"Foess has spent years pouring over adoptive records, oftentimes being stonewalled. But she persevered until the layers she uncovered, the secret she discovered, and the shunning she endured led her to have an amazing love for her Armenian roots. Hers is extraordinary story that one finds hard to believe. It's about a young Armenian mother in America who had to give up her child for adoption during World War II because of hard times, and about that child's decades-long search for her true identity. The chapters reveal Mary's character."  Betty APIGIAN Kessel (The Armenian Weekly - May 10, 2008 Michigan High Beat)
